Privacy Policy

Shell Seeker by Ali (“we,” “us”) is a small handmade shop run by Ali Turner in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This policy explains what information we collect through shellseekerbyali.com and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to make and deliver your order, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered.
- Payment information — entered directly on Stripe’s secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or through the custom order form, including a photo if you attach one.
- Site usage — pages visited, device and browser type, and general location, collected by Google Analytics using cookies.
Your shopping cart is saved only in your own browser, not on our servers, until you check out.
How we use it
- To make, ship, and deliver your order, and to contact you about it
- To calculate shipping rates and sales tax
- To answer your questions
- To keep business and tax records as the law requires
- To understand how people use the site so we can improve it
We don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe — payment processing, receipts, and sales tax
- Shippo and the shipping carriers — shipping rates, labels, and tracking
- Resend — delivering order notification emails and custom order requests to Ali
- Google Analytics — site usage statistics
- Cloudflare — hosting and security for the website, including the robot check on the custom order form
We may also share information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart, and Stripe uses cookies on its checkout page to prevent fraud. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’sopt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, generally seven years. Emails are kept as long as they’re useful for helping you.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing ali@shellseekerbyali.com. We’ll honor the request except where we’re required to keep records by law.
Children
The site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
