About Ali
My name is Ali Turner, and I am the proud owner of Shell Seeker by Ali. I am happily married to my husband of 30 years and am the mother to a son and daughter, both of whom are grown, flown, and living their best lives.
I am a retired pastry chef, and as such, I have always enjoyed creating art — whether with baking ingredients or other arts and crafts supplies. During COVID my husband and I were lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time on the beaches of North and South Carolina, where we both felt we could breathe the fresh salt air and feel more at peace.
I spent many an hour walking the beaches and picking up shells, never tiring of the sea breeze, sun on my face, and seeking treasures. One day, I was looking at a cute beverage napkin on my coffee table and thought to myself, “I could make napkin rings with my shells and this cute pattern.” That was the day Shell Seeker by Ali was born.
I love constantly challenging myself to come up with new ideas, and I can honestly say that even after 5 years of shell seeking, creating each and every piece still brings me joy and makes my heart happy!
I love the look on the faces of bridesmaids, book clubbers, lifelong friends, Mahjong groups, and families when they open a box to see a personalized piece of art all their own.
